THAT FIRST SONG : Presents “A LIFE IN SONGS”
That First Song : "A LIFE IN SONGS"
I’m proud to sit under the That First Song umbrella with a talented group of peers who bring creative thinking, strategic guidance, and the people, expertise and resources to help move an idea from first thought to finished work - supporting songwriters and Artists at every stage of their careers.
On October 17th, as part of Toronto’s IMSTA FESTA, we’re bringing That First Song to the stage for “A Life in Songs” - an honest, audience-driven conversation about what it really means to build a life in music.
This isn’t a panel where you simply sit and listen. The conversation starts with your questions.
I’ll be joined by Producers Ben Pelchat, Eddie Bullen, Duncan Reid, and guest artist Adam Bianchi (Stuck on Planet Earth), with Jeff Sammut moderating. We’ll talk songwriting, collaboration, production, publishing, pitching, sync, career realities - and some of the less visible pieces of finding your way through the music business.
If you’re a songwriter, Artist, producer, or simply somewhere in the middle of figuring out where your music might take you, come curious. Ask what matters.
Send your questions in advance to info@thatfirstsong.com, or bring them with you day of.

About That First Song
That First Song is a place where artists begin with what matters - their story, their voice, and the experiences that shape their music. We work with artists at all stages of their journey, creating space for ideas to be explored, refined, and brought into form with intention. Our focus is not just on making songs, but on helping artists develop a body of work that feels honest, connected, and lasting.
